Philippians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (NLT)
worry – verb: to give way to anxiety or unease; allow one’s mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.
We all worry about things; some of us are even professionals worriers (ever been called a worry-wart). We look at the future and see everything that could go wrong. Will we have job next year? Will I have more month than money? Is the car about to break down? Are the kids doing well in school? How healthy am I really?Statistics say 30% of what we worry about is stuff from the past we can not change and 40% is things that will never happen. Mostly we spend our time thinking about what could go wrong instead of doing something about it. Scripture says instead of worrying about things we should talk to God, pray, about them. Tell God what is on your mind, what concerns you, what you are worried about. Ask Him to show you if there is really anything you can do to keep your fears from coming to pass, and if not then give them over to Him. Next, think back to all the things you have worried about that did not come to pass and thank Him for all He has done in your life.
